Its been another fun week in the Hamster Room! The children have loved role playing this week making use of the props in the room, in our café and baby bath areas, but also using their own wonderful imaginations to create a fantastic bus (made up from chairs around the room) heading off on an adventure to enjoy a picnic together! It was great to see the children playing in such a large group, responding to each other’s ideas and having such fun!
We have been talking about the special people in our lives and making something special for all the Mummy’s this weekend (wishing you a very special Mothering Sunday Mummy’s)! We also have been busy practicing our performance for the Easter Assembly – we can’t wait to show you on Tuesday – the children really are fantastic!
What a lovely week we have had. The sun has had his hat on, putting everyone in a happy mood and we were able to enjoy the garden.
The children have really enjoyed baking cakes for their Mum’s this week. They used scales to measure out their ingredients, mixed them all together and used their judgement to fill the mixture into the cupcake cases.
Continuing with learning about change, the children planted runner beans. Over the next few weeks we will be observing how they change while they grow.
The farm yard small world sensory tray has been a hit this week. The Haffertee’s have been very imaginative creating stories with the farm yard animals and talking about their experiences visiting the farm.
